Escanaba Bandits FOOTBALL CLUB
Our Football Team
We have started a semi-pro football team in Escanaba, MI. We will start playing in our inaugural season in May with practices starting sometime in late March or early April. We are currently in the process of finding a head coach and a permanent home field. We will be talking with the Escanaba Schools in hopes of securing the athletic field. Once a head coach is chosen we will then be looking to fill our roster. To be able to play in this league you must be at least 18 years or older and pay a player fee. The player fee includes a game jersey, pants and socks. You must have your own helmet and shoulder pads.
The league that we will play in is the Northern Lights Football League. Currently there are four teams in the league, Escanaba, Green Bay, Iron Mountain and Oshkosh, but we are hoping to have at least two others join for our inaugural season.This league will use most of the same rules as the NFL with one obvious exception...OUR PLAYERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO CELEBRATE WHEN THEY DO SOMETHING WELL! We will not be known as the "No Fun League!" Games will be held on Saturdays and practices will be held during the week. If you are interested in joining the team or helping out in anyway please let us know.
